At Pawddy, your privacy and your pet's data security come first. Here's exactly what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

Plain-language summary
Pawddy securely stores your pet's health information within the European Union. We use trusted third-party providers to power core app features, including Supabase (database and storage), Deepgram (voice transcription), OpenAI (AI summaries and translations), Adapty (subscription management), and Firebase (crash reporting and analytics).
We do not sell your personal data.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Not a veterinary service
Pawddy is a pet health organization and record-keeping tool only. Pawddy does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or medical advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian regarding your pet's health.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- the Pawddy mobile application (iOS and Android),
- the Pawddy website,
- and all related services provided by Pawddy.
By using Pawddy, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this Policy, you must discontinue use of the application and related services.
What Data We Collect
3.1 Account Data
We may collect:
- email address,
- encrypted password hash,
- optional display name.
Passwords are securely encrypted and stored as cryptographic hashes. Pawddy never has access to your plain-text password.
3.2 Pet Profile Data
You may voluntarily provide information related to your pet, including:
- pet name, species, breed, date of birth, gender, weight, profile photo,
- veterinary visit records, notes, AI-generated summaries,
- vaccination schedules, medication records,
- symptom diary entries, reminders and calendar events.
3.3 Voice Recordings
Important Notice
When you use the voice recording feature, audio is securely transmitted to Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription. The resulting text may then be processed by OpenAI models to generate summaries, insights, and translations. Voice recordings are securely stored for up to 7 days after creation and are automatically and permanently deleted thereafter.
By using the voice recording feature, you explicitly consent to this processing and transmission. Deepgram and OpenAI each process data according to their own privacy policies.
3.4 Uploaded Documents
You may upload files such as PDF documents, laboratory results, prescriptions, vaccination certificates, and medical images.
Files are stored securely using Supabase Storage infrastructure and linked to your account. Uploaded files are accessible only by you, or users to whom you explicitly grant access.
3.5 Technical and Usage Data
We may automatically collect limited technical information, including:
- device type, operating system version, app version,
- crash reports, anonymized diagnostics,
- general feature usage statistics.
This information is used solely to improve app stability, performance, and reliability.
Crash reports and analytics are processed through Firebase (a Google service). This data relates to app performance and device information and does not include your pet records or voice content.
3.6 Payment Data
All subscriptions and payments are processed exclusively through Apple App Store and Google Play. Pawddy never receives, stores, or processes your payment card information. We receive only limited subscription status information necessary to manage premium access.
Subscription status is managed through Adapty, which receives a non-identifying user identifier and your current subscription state in order to grant or revoke premium access. Adapty does not receive your payment card details.

AI-generated transcriptions, summaries, reminders, and insights may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. Pawddy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
You should always verify important information with your veterinarian and official medical documentation. Pawddy does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pawddy shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Data Storage and Security
Pawddy stores data using infrastructure located within the European Union.
Security measures include
- encrypted transmission (TLS 1.2+),
- encrypted storage,
- access control protections,
- database row-level security (RLS),
- restricted infrastructure access.
Voice recordings are securely stored for up to 7 days after creation and are automatically and permanently deleted thereafter.
Limitation of liability
While we implement industry-standard security practices, no system can guarantee absolute security. We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence, compromised devices, third-party infrastructure failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Data Retention
- Active accounts: data is retained while your account remains active.
- Deleted accounts: personal data is deleted within 30 days after deletion request.
- Backups: encrypted backups may remain for up to 90 days before permanent removal.
- Voice recordings: securely stored for up to 7 days after creation and automatically and permanently deleted thereafter.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located within the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:
- access your personal data,
- correct inaccurate data,
- request deletion,
- request data portability,
- restrict processing,
- object to certain processing activities,
- withdraw consent at any time.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (UODO).
Children's Privacy
Pawddy is not intended for children under 13 years old globally, or 16 years old within the EEA where applicable. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
If you believe a child has provided personal data through Pawddy, contact us immediately at support@pawddy.app. We will promptly remove the information.
International Data Transfers
Most user data is stored within the European Union.
Certain data processed by Deepgram, OpenAI, Adapty, and Firebase may be transferred outside the EU, including to the United States. These providers apply safeguards designed to comply with GDPR requirements, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
Push Notifications
Pawddy may send service-related notifications, including reminders, medication alerts, calendar notifications, and follow-up reminders.
We do not send advertising or promotional push notifications. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. For significant changes, we may provide notice through email, in-app notification, or website notification.
Continued use of Pawddy after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
